If you would like to send your Montblanc product to a Montblanc Boutique near you or a Montblanc Service Center we recommend that you package it securely in a box or bubble type envelope (especially watches and writing instruments need to be packed in safely). Please include a brief cover letter stating your request, your address and a daytime telephone number, and send it insured by mail.
- Is there a charge for the repair of my Montblanc product?
If the Montblanc guarantee does not apply, a service fee will be charged. The charge will depend on which model you have and parts used to repair it. After a service technician has inspected your Montblanc product, an estimate letter will be sent to you before any work is performed. Should any additional charges be incurred, you will be notified by a Customer Service Representative.

Once we receive your package, the turnaround time is approximately two weeks. Detailed information and the exact turnaround time can be given to you after an inspection of your product at our service center. Should any charges be incurred, an estimate letter will be sent for your approval before any work is done.
- How can I tell if my Montblanc product is authentic?
The only way to verify if your Montblanc product is authentic is to bring it to a Montblanc boutique or send it to our service centre to be inspected by a highly qualified service technician.
- My Montblanc pen doesn’t have a serial number. Does that mean it isn’t an authentic Montblanc product?
The serial number would be located on the clip ring on the right of the clip. But not all of our writing instruments have serial numbers on them because we did not start to put serial numbers on our writing instruments until 1991. Montblanc products are under guarantee for 2 years from date of purchase against defects of materials or workmanship.
- What does the Montblanc International Guarantee include?
The Montblanc International Guarantee includes defects of materials or workmanship of your Montblanc product. These defects do not include defects and damage caused by accident, improper use, normal wear and tear, alteration, dismantling or repair by persons other than authorized Montblanc repair specialists, or the use of components other than those recommended by Montblanc. It also excludes writing instruments with the clip ring number removed and lost or stolen products. Legal rights given by this guarantee may vary from country to country.
- How can I make sure the guarantee will be acknowledged for my Montblanc product?
The validated warranty card or proof of purchase must be included with your Montblanc product for us to be able to acknowledge it. Without the validated warranty card, or proof of purchase, a service charge will be applied for any repairs.
