Date
1:Position running and manual winding.

3: Position for setting time. In this position the second hand ceases to move, to allow the exact time to be set.
Note: Setting 2 (A) should not be changed manually during the period between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Manual adjustment during this period may damage the movement.

 

Water Resistance

As stated on the back of the case, all Montblanc watches are water resistant to 30 m; the Sports Collection is water resistant to 200 m. After contact with salt water, it is recommended to clean the case carefully using freshwater and a soft cloth. Watches should be tested for water resistance every two years, or when the battery is changed, by an authorised Montblanc Service Center.

GMT Automatic


A: Hour hand
B: Minute hand
C: Second hand

E: Second time zone (24 hours) hand

Crown

1: Normal position (for Sport screwed crowns, release the crown by turning it counter-clockwise.
2: Turn the crown clockwise for quick correction of the 24-hour hand . Turn the crown clockwise for quick correction of the date .
3: Position for setting time. In this position the second hand ceases to move, to allow the exact time to be set.
Note: Setting 2 (D) should not be changed manually during the period between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Manual adjustment during this period may damage the movement.

Special functions

Local time (see example Reykjavik 10.00 p.m.) is shown using the hour and minute hands (A, B). The additional hand (E), which goes round once every 24 hours, can be used to select and set a second time zone (see example New York 6.00 p.m.).

Chronograph Automatic

Special functions

P1: Starting and stopping the chronograph. Pressing once starts the large second hand (D), which sets the minute counter (E) in motion after 60 seconds have elapsed; the hour counter (F) starts running at the same time. Pressing a second time stops the large second hand, the minute counter, and the hour counter.
P2: Returning the chronograph to zero. Pressing once returns the three chronograph hands (large second hand (D), minute counter (E), hour counter (F)) to zero. This function only works when the chronograph has already been stopped (see P1). Operating this function when the chronograph is running can damage your watch.

Special functions

P3: Setting the date: Press the corrector with the correction tool until the desired date is displayed.
